Outings & Workshops 2026

The BNIA is offering four events to get you out on the water this summer, meeting up with friends and neighbours, and exploring our archipelago. All events are FREE to members but require registration. If a date is listed as TBD, watch our social media and enewsletters for updates. Note: If an event fills to capacity, priority will be given to BNIA members (and their guests).

REGISTRATION: HERE (all events require registration)

BNIA Fishing Derby (second annual)

Due to the success of last year’s Derby, we encourage you to head out to your secret fishing spot to land the pride of 2026.

Snake Day: Biologist Talk & Guided Walk

In response to our community’s interest in rattlesnakes, we have teamed up with the Georgian Bay Biosphere to bring you a morning dedicated to the snakes of our archipelago — how to identify different species, understand their behaviours and habitats, plus conservation and safety tips.

Tell Your Own Stories (Cottage History)

A casual writing workshop focusing on personal and cottage memoir, using family photos and/or cottage artifacts for inspiration.

Early Inlet Stories (Cottage History)

We will be gathering to hear Inlet Stories from fourth generation cottager, Peter Frost, featuring pennants, artifacts, and a focus on boating and exploration!
