Acceptable large items for disposal: cottage furniture (beds, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc.); outdoor items (barbecues, deck furniture, lawnmowers without gas or oil in them); appliances (there’s a $30 surcharge for fridges and items containing refrigerant

Unacceptable items for disposal: regular garbage and recyclables (take these to the Transfer Stations as usual); hazardous materials (take them to Parry Sound, see above); propane tanks (take this to Site 9, see above); tools, tires, batteries, electronics (take them to Parry Sound, see above); cars or boats (or their parts); small appliances (microwaves, toaster ovens, etc. — take these to Site 9, see above); construction waste and old docks (take these to Site 9, see above).
