LIchen Field Trip

This outing will be led by Troy McMullin, Canada’s top lichenologist, post-doctoral research scientist at the Canadian Museum of Nature, the University of Guelph, and talented educator. If you have ever wondered about the fascinating colourful growths on our rocks, soil, trees and older built structures, you will be fascinated by Troy’s talk and field outings. We plan to visit locations in Bayfield and Nares, looking for different varieties of lichen. This is a rare opportunity to spend time exploring with an expert botanist.
